Killamarsh ladies aba boxer Emma Grzona lost the semi final of the ABAs on a controversial split decision in manchester. The killamarsh fighter at least should have got the draw,  We were sent the ITV dvd and she didn't lose. It was an excellent fight – it received 'best fight' on the night.

She fought the quarter finals in Maidstone, Kent winning by a unanimous decision. She fights out of the Malthouse boxing club in Rotherham, where there are some great boxers. For the record; the boxer who successfully got through @ the parallel Semi Final had already been beaten by Emma in a previous fight. Emma is the one in the blue head guard in these photos.

Extract from Crewe Guardian 4th Dec 2008:

Club favourite Dionne Johnson was also unlucky and yet again her strength and spirit made for a difficult, well-earned win by the fast, skilful Emma Grzona from Malthouse

Such a shame, its nice to see a local sportswoman representing the village at national level though – keep it up, hopefully there will be better judges next year!

Its lovely its a pity there are not other young people in Killamarsh willing to undertake something that interests them, instead of wasting time around street corners.     Confused
