Are there any regular spots for Mobile, Static or Temporary Speed Cameras in and around Killamarsh?
I have noticed a mobile speed camera van on numerous occasions on the road into Killamarsh opposite the Angel Pub. It points down the hill towards the entrance to 'The Angel'. The speed limit here is 30mph dropping from 40mph before the entrance to pub.

I've also seen this spot used regularly another is halfway up Lock Hill on the left. The main thing that concerns me is the fact that Sunday morning 7/6/09 I was driving down the hill from Highmoor to-wards Norwwod you couldn't move for police, cars,on foot, every where, every road junction from the Travellers to the Rother Valley Country Park and in between covered, absolutely crawling with police. Some major crime crackdown,a murder maybe, drug bust on a massive scale,a rape,a mugging.NO! an iron man competition at RVCP.It boils my blood to think we can have this many police to watch somebody sat down running, but YOU! report a crime in progress,if anyone can be bothered to answer the phone they'll give you a crime number in case you want to re-waste your time reporting the same incident again, often wondered if you get another crime number perhaps you have to save them like bonus points until you've got a set number depending on the severity of the crime i.e. five for an illegally parked car to maybe one hundred for a mugging or rape, probably a gold star for firearms incident and a Knighthood to call out the helicopter. The moral of this story seems to be if you are going to commit crime in Killamarsh DON'T USE A BIKE the police are watching you!

Yes thats great. But you have to remember the police only work 9 to 5 so there is a lot of police doing nothing at that time of day. If you have just been mugged or stabbed just staunch the blood with whatever you can and lay in the gutter while the next morning, then read in the leader how antisocial behaviour has come down in the past few months. This is Jackanory signing off.

I like your latest post about police sitting up and watching for the speeders. Better things to do? Having said that, I would be pro police for speeding if I or someone I knew had had an accident due to speeding on that stretch of road!
