On Tuesday 29/12 I was driving home along Sheepcote Road towards Wulford Road and came up behind a dustbin wagon blocking the road. I decided to divert around it down Chandos Crescent; big mistake.
As I arrived back on Sheepcote Road another dustbin wagon was working the same road coming from Wulford Road, a massive queue of vehicles behind it. When this cart got to a point clear of parked cars the queue of traffic passed only to be held up by the first cart still coming along Sheepcote Road.
Why would Sheepcote Road have 2 separate carts one working from Bridge Street the other from Wulford Road? Passing parked cars along there is difficult at the best of times, add 1 cart and its bad, add 2 and it has potential for a complete grid lock.
It this the normal collection routine or a Christmas special?

We are confused about the bin situation some people were away when the binmen came, dont know if we got a revised collection notice if there was one, they must have got extra crews on for some reason.

Oops no sorry the bin men have just been on our road…although both my bins the green and black one's are on the kerbside they have only emptied the black one, so it looks as if we are going to have to wait another week before the green one gets emptied…..

Glad you brought this up loads of emails asking, if we cant get to work because of the lack of gritting, so no wages coming in, so council responsible, so should give a months rebate, they have saved thousands by not gritting so GIVE IT BACK.

Just thought I would let you know the binmen yesterday 19/01/2010 emptied both the green bin and the black bin in the same wagon at the same time. So why the hell are we sorting out our rubbish, you can even get fined for not sorting it this is making a mockery of the recycling system. when I have phoned the council and asked if I can put cardboard or the like in the black bin they say under no circumstances you must not mix the rubbish

Hope you like your new maroon bins, if you separate the Items do they just tip it into the back of the lorry and mix it up again could you let us know how they keep it separate without putting there hands in the bin and manually sorting it which would be pointless us sorting it.
