I have stopped going out these days, one reason is that there are thugs on the streets, the other is that I haven't yet found a pub locally that would support a disabled person (who has to use wheelchair).Confused

I am not asking anyone other than the police to deal with thugs but do we have any pubs IN KILLAMARSH that have dissabled facilitiesWink

There is'nt much in the way of looking after the disabled at first glance at pub entrances I dont think there is anything. Shame!Lets hope rroka can get intouch with the breweries like they did at the Bull and Badger when they got the kerbs moved at one end of the car park which enabled wheelchairs to get to the stop and shop.Smile

The Disability Discrimination Act 2005 required all business to comply with provision for disabled access. Any public premises or business not providing such access are breaking the law.

I know that The Crown on Ashely Lane has a ramp to the rear entrance of the pub so would imagine it is accessible to wheel-chair access.

The Midland has access at the right hand side, The Nethergreen has disabled entrance at the front, The Travellers Rest has an entrance to the right hand side into the eating area,  The Leisure centre has access through the front bar entrance, The Nag and West end have not been looked at yet but must have some access point for the dasabled. As Francis says they must all comply with the disability act if they dont it is a crime.Smile

Sorry to say this but The West End does not have any disabled facilities. Last April i went with my mother, she came up on her motor scooter but because there is a step up at both entrances she couldnt get in….so off we went to get her wheelchair..As far as i can remember there are also no toilets for the disabled either….

Thanks for that information we will check, but it may be a bit late as the sale of the pub is in the pipeline and you guessed it more houses Smile
