We offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Liam, he was fighting for our freedom and his contribution will not be forgotten. We should support all our troops wherever they are fighting, they are the best in the world.

May I and my family also add my condolences to his family and friends. If it wasn't for the sacrifices of these brave and courageous service men and women this country would be a far worse place to live.Killamarsh has lost a vital part of the community,he wont be forgotten.

The cenotaph monument is on its way we are reliably informed, about time 92 years to wait is a long time.

Do we have details of what and where this will be?

The council are still wondering where to place it, a couple of places have been mentioned such as where the flagpole sits, or the new cemetery, or even the peace garden, but we dont know which one so cannot speculate. We have heard it is going to be one like the one outside the old Rose cottage dentists at Halfway, which is quite decent. It may change depending on money .

Thanks for that. Whilst the site by the flag on High Street/Kirkcroft Road would be a prominent location however couldnt imagine the "authorities" would be too happy about the rememberance service taking place there. They aint too keen on the parade let alone stopping the traffic there.
The cemetery would be a bit out the way maybe the church yard would be a good location.
