Just had the "OUR VILLAGE" OUR COMMUNITY" leaflet though the door they must think the residents of killamarsh are really gullible. !600 hundred houses going to be built that puts paid to the "OUR VILLAGE" theory.

Sorry  we diverse,the  council say there is only an application been submitted for 350 houses this may be the case but our contacts say this is only the first phase so when this is passed it is just a mere fomality to get phase 2 3 4 passed  as building work has allready been passed simple. As for the council saying the houses are for our children, grandchildren, and elderly if you believe that you should be in politics,the Harworth estates build houses in conjuction with anybody where they can make fast money this includes social housing contractors managers etc so these houses are being built for overspill from neighbouring areas so killamarsh will end up with hundreds more families that the infrastructure cannot cope with. As  to the  formal application being submitted taking 5 years this is another pull the wool over the eyes trick,as everybody who has driven through Spinkhill lately will have seen the roadworks and traffic lights where all the services are going in allready for the westthorpe houses,services are allready going in for the houses on the manor mews estate. The services are allready in at Highmoor for when the industrial estate goes up,OOOPS that should be rumours of the industrial estate.We wish RAGE all the best on there endeavours but they seem to be struggling,so we will give as much help as we can. The only houses that may not get built are the ones on sheffield road, the ones built on the old wade and madins site have been built on liable to flood land, and this was not told to the buyers of these houses so the first time they flood insurance companies will refuse to insure them, this is when the residents should sue the council because of lack of infomation. So the other houses that have been proposed should not be built anywhere near flood plains. 2007 the flood water was six foot above bottom windows of the wade and madin houses due to Rotherham council opening the sluice gate to relieve pressure on canklow this is all the more prevailant as the new building project on canklow will need even more flood release so will be more pressure on flooding the rother valley.
