Why have we got to build houses on the only old thing left in killamarsh (midland station) this is the only thing they have'nt knocked down yet, that, is left of old killamarsh, why not turn it into a cafe for the walkers and cyclists that use the black train path on the way to rother valley, no more houses please . comments welcome

Last time I walked down the path at the back it looked like someone had started to pull it down – inside exposed and the roof hanging off.

Lets face it no one in Killamarsh cares anymore, I doubt if half the population could tell you where the station is, as for the pits in another thread there is no money to be made from sentiment that is the be-all and end-all of the councils agenda!

It supposed to have been moved on to Hewitts farm to be re-erected to make a cafe cum shop for the fishermen looks like that is'nt going to happen cannot understand why they had to pull it down, it would have made a brilliant cafe for the ramblers and cyclists that use the old railway line with chairs on the platform and eating al fresco watching the world go by, would have brought life to that part of killamarsh now houses will be built again

Sorry to here that those are probably the ones throwing stones at the cars off the bridge, not be long before a serious injury occurs the council have been inforemed many times about this.
