Mrs.Sipsi was in the butchers in the precinct the other day( snobby? buying meat? no she only went in to change a £1 coin)but the rumour was that the buildings in the precinct are to be extended up wards with dwelling space above the shops. YET ANOTHER GHETTO perhaps? Look around the other such developments! in all my travels (I'm an HGV driver and travelled throughout the U.K.) I've not seen a good un yet, all run down and derelict as soon as they're built.Could this be the demented rantings and ramblings from the ivory towers of fortress Labour yet again? The butcher himself wasn't to pleased with the idea, maybe he's looking for new premises? Another shop gone or going? who knows?

We at rroka are trying our very best to stop the developement which you are talking about, as it is very much on the cards. It will probably go ahead as usual, because the council need to load there coffers with council tax money to pay for there names in lights, and make sure the people that live in the flats above the Quik save, are subject to abuse from the vandals which frequent the corner of the Chicago diner.(If you have ever been down there at night it is like the Bronx in New York it is frightening). As we stated in our posts about the fantastic skateboard park,(council said this not us) it is now being used by teenage gangs to do there drug trafficking and litter throwing. The gangs  are very good at what they do, and are well organised as we have found out, one of the things is how they communicate to keep ahead of the police, they dont use mobile phones they use the cheap walkie talkies to keep tabs on where the police are at any given time which we think is excellent thinking on the part of the hairy forehead brigade . The problem we have, and we have stated this before if WE can see it, why oh why  can't the council . If the council had any love or pride for Killamarsh they would stop the house  building NOW…….. , as they cannot cope with the  population as it is.  Empire building in Killamarsh  is not the way forward,  looking after the honest  decent hard working  people should be on top of there list. We at rroka dont agree with the government by rewarding the thugs and vandals by finding them jobs or paying for there heroin shots to keep the robberies and muggings down, It amazes us if you do something good in this country  you dont get any help ,but you if you mug somebody or steal a car or even kill  somebody  you get put through university  or are rehabilitated  into society with a different identity,  and we have to pay. Why  does'nt Killamarsh set a precident and punish the wrongdoer and praise the rightdoer  it is so easy, not rocket science, if the do gooder  brigade from Brussels pipe up, just say we dont live in Brussels we live in England .Smile

Funny how this development has sneaked out the back door again, has there been any consultation with the people of Killamarsh as to their views on this matter ? I very much doubt it,Yet again the council war cry rings in my ears "I'M ALRIGHT JACK Etc.Etc.!"

We are sorry to say, but the council only think there is fourteen or fifteen people in killamarsh which is themselves, the other nine thousand odd people in killamarsh must be tourists, so they dont have to give any consultation or information to these because they are not proper residents, jobs a good un…… so they can do what they bloody well like and stuff anybody else Yell

Lets hope they dont shut the coop and Aldi then recruit the coop staff thinking they are competant workers, what a shock they'll get, Aldi are very quick at serving it would be a culture shock for the coop staff to move more than one limb an hour and thats only there jaw.

Reading the leader the council say they support markets but they are closing the thursday market, they cannot do both what they say and what they do seem to be two different things vary confusing.

Well done whiskyman you managed to get the new market on the leisure centre looks like somebody is listening. We went to Grantham at the weekend and there market is in the main street they shut the road and put the market up the middle it works because it brings custom to the shops and revitalises the town when people can walk at a leisurely pace up the town without cars it brings good feeling and spirit of worth would'nt take much to divert the cars round Highmoor for 8 hours it would bring a community spirit back.
