I had cause to take Mrs. Sipsi shopping in Killamarsh this morning whilst waiting for her imminent spend up and return procedure I was chatting to a few of the village elders waiting for the community bus after their various duties to be carried out at the bottom of the village,I was totally disgusted to find that this service is now reduced to one day a week only to be told it was funded by the parish council this I don't know if it is the case how can any parish councillor hold his head up knowing they have deprived many older and some not so old of this vital service one of the elderly(now over 80)lives on the Manor estate and due to her disabilities this is her only option of mobility to the local shops and I may add not a very good choice, this service in my opinion should operate at least a daily service throughout the week even if it is reduced to half days every other day this service is a vital commodity to the elderly, infirm and those not fortunate enough to own even a small car or not have the ability to drive themselves or have family living close enough to do the running about for them, not that many of the elderly would take up the offer as their own Independence is their pride and right please can any one see if we can improve this service in any way whatsoever, even if it means depriving the village of other not so important features I'm sure lots of the elderly would love to see the new floral decorations but THEY HAVE NO TRANSPORT!!!

Really good comments, this is the point keep closing things, or shutting things, you end up with people having to stop in. The parish council can find good money for other things but not for necessities. A bit of Marie Antionette me thinks.
