To all those who complained about the way the planning for the houses has been done we have had a letter that the permission is being refused but this does not mean they wont build them. In our experience they usually go through a routine were they refuse it three times then pass it, it is a way of appeasing the complaints, it puts people in a false sense of security. As you know these houses are not needed in killamarsh as they cannot police the amount of houses now and with the cutbacks its another estate for the burglers and druggies to have a birthday. We need to capture the streets back not extend the places for criminals to run.

Before they build any more houses they want to maintain what they've allready got, too many houses in killamarsh its just a dormer village for foreigners (non Killamarsh people) thats why its becoming a dump these people dont know how killamarsh used to be a nice village. Its like south London on a friday and saturday night.

Strikes me even the young uns are taking notice of the ineptitude of our council,it's a good sign,it means I'm not turning into the grumpy old git I thought I was.But surely these councilors should be brought to book over their complete and utter disdain they treat the people of the village,is nothing ever going to be put right? Roll on February,let me go back to the mountains and my summer job!

The planning for houses on 156 to 178 sheffield road have been refused the council may be thinking a bit more on the antisocial behaviour issue which they cannot cope with at the moment building mor houses would only increase the pain for more residents

Five hundred new houses?where are these people going to work?where are these people going to shop?where are these peoples children going to school?where are these people going to get petrol?where are these people going to bank?who is going to police the streets of this newly planned ghetto,where are access roads to be built,where are the services coming from water,gas,electric,sewage IT'S A CERT TO GET PASSED!

350 houses now all been passed and a new community centre, eight houses allready started, sprat to catch a mackeral, the council cannot look after what they have got, not taken into consideration any residents grievences this is time to upsticks and move with all the drug houses in killamarsh they will have a field day with all the new house holds. The council are going to make it into a village within a village no more police officers they are all being cut who says crime does not pay.

There is a meeting tonight in the church hall about the mass building of houses in killamarsh be there it supposed to be talking of a way to stop the council voting for the houses, not listen to the immediate residents who are going to be affected what a undemocratic way to run things.

It's not ticket only,demand has been so high and spaces limited due to health and safety they have had to restrict numbers the same meeting will be held again next week same time same place for the people that couldn't get in this week please support this group they are totally against any new development on this scale I would be there but distance and work commitments prevents this.

Nice to see more residents getting involved its about time we did something, rumour is white city residents are to be moved into the new housing and white city to be demolished and new private housing to be built these rumours are rumours but there is no smoke without fire. Also if they build all these new houses where are the jobs to go with them and the amenities it will just be more bored youths no jobs standing on street corners taking drugs and causing havoc like they do now, as for the police saying crime figures are down they are only down because people have stopped reporting it because nothing is done.

Dont forget to go to the killamarsh festival you can sign a petition to stop the building of houses on greenbelt and overcrowding killamarsh and stop killamarsh failing the residents.
