A workmate told me that the litter bin by the Station Road bus stop had been set on fire last night, fortunately he was able to stop a police car pulling out of the Bungalows and directed him to the right location. A fire engine subsequently was seen approaching from Norwood area.

Is this the area others have referred to as a known hangout for drug takers and miscreatants? Add arsonists to it now.

It never ceases to amaze me the levels of the local deadheads will stoop to, it's so reassuring when reading "the Leader" that anti social behaviour in Killamarsh is falling, maybe the total brain dead, blind, idiot that gave this rag the headlines should crawl out of his ivory tower, look and listen to the people of the village AND ACT ACCORDINGLY!!!! Instead of ALL! the councils blinkerd views and self back slapping dross that emerges from their so called meetings on any stupid whim any of them can dream up.SOLVE THE PROBLEMS EVERY ONE IN THE VILLAGE CAN SEE (unless you're voted onto the council) then maybe we can start and re-build the foundations of what once was a decent place to live

Its councillor Charles and friends that put the news in the papers to make there decisions stand up and make them look good. If you or I put the truth the papers would'nt print it saying it was derogatory and we were making it up. This is one of the reasons we started the website to try and get the truth out.  If you have noticed, some of the posts have been acted on by the council ie bus shelters, pot holes, unkept gardens etc. What we at rroka need is the council to put there proposals on the website not on there council minutes website, where the decisions have allready been made. If they put them on a month in advance so the residents can voice an opinion and possibly stop stupid money and decisions being wasted. I know what your thinking the residents can go to the meetings, fair enough, but not everybody can get, but if it was on the website they could peruse at there leisure. Getting back to the bin fire we new something like this would happen, dont get us wrong but we are all for the skatepark in theory but the infiltration of so many teenagers from different villages even different parts of the village and not being policed is bound to cause anarchy,  it is now such a mess it has been brought up at council meetings . Dont forget the council monitor all our posts but are to scared to post a topic themselves for us to comment on. We  cannot understand this as they are supposed to be for the public and are supposed to communicate with residents. Footnote:- these are the same deadheads that ruined the sign and are invisible to the councillors Frown

Maybe the answer is to send "The Leader" the web site address then they to could read and see the opinions of the village themselves and not get the councils one sided views all the time.
