Time to expand the alcohol exclusion zone and bring back the officer we have lost

The current alcohol exclusion zone may work for the town center -which is a very small part of Killamarsh- lets face it all this has done has pushed the problem out of the area under management and into other places in Killamarsh sometimes to places where old and fragile people are too afraid to complain for fear of reprisal. People like Councillor Charles and his collegues should be ashamed (I think that they probably are and use the "everythings going right" statements to help them bury their heads in the sand).  If you are going to have an exclusion zone it has to encompass the whole of Killamarsh and not just the shopping areas.  We have had more trouble in the last few months on the estates than we have in the past 25 years we have lived in the area.

Also is it true that we have one police officer less than previously (probably only a community officer but an official nonetheless).

The everythings going right statement, seems to crop up a lot. Everything might be going right for them ie; no opposition to there decisions or money spending. We hit on the alcohol problem a while ago and in statements made in the leader and such papers, that they were dealing with  it and vandalism and rowdy behaviour has declined in the centre, is just total fabrication if you go into the village late at night “God forbid” you can cut the tension with a knife. As to your comments on the exclusion zone what exclusion zone, if only more people complained the council would see how great the problem is. It stops decent people from going out at night for fear of violence, so this leads to more hooligans on the street so even less people go out it is just a vicious circle. We at rroka are great believers in stop it before it starts if you let them off with minor things like, mugging old people, or robbery they will take great comfort from this and go on to bigger things. The trouble on the estates is at an all time high now, if you talk to anybody in the street they have had louts pulling off wing mirrors or scratching there cars or shoveing boundary walls over but 90% dont report it they just take it as part of living on an estate, but we should not have to live like this, having knots in your stomach when a gang of teenagers walk past your house or are hanging round in shop doorways. As for policeing we thought it was done covertly as we never see any, we were thinking of giving a prize to the police for the best invisible man costume sad but true FrownFrown

The council "SHOULD" be ashamed of themselves not one thing they have done has actually improved living in killamarsh. They spend thousands on the liesure centre but nothing on the policeing. Its ok having a posh leisure centre, but try and walk to it its daunting around there at night. Your post says the problem has been moved with the exclusion zone this is true  now other estates are coming under fire. Dont move the problem eradicate the problem before something really awfull happens.Frown

Everything is not allright, the so called council champions and council are doing NOTHING what so ever to improve the problems  in this village. No action is ever taken after people report ie. unkept gardens . Litter strewn streets . Drug deals taking place at certain council owned properties on this estate i could go on and on . We all know most people will not report incidents for fear of reprisal .So I say lets get shut of these useless council officials . Let us all stand together for one just cause As divided we will surely fail .                                      STRIKEFAST STRIKEHARD STRIKE AS ONEYell

The chance has unfortunately been and gone Lord Charles and his merry band of cohorts re-elected yet again at the last elections, I've read on these forums that people don't or won't vote at these elections the "whats the point" syndrome seems to prevail, this is what happens! Same councilors same problems the village centre (fortress Labour) war cry is loud and strong "I'm allright Jack pull that F*****G ladder up"

Covert councillors that is what you get in killamarsh, they are nowhere to be seen until they draw there money. Thay chastised Judas for taking 20 peices of silver, these are ten times worse and we are paying for there privilages. Any thing that detracts them from lining there nests, does not  matter to them, these bad decisions must stop NOW they are strangling what was once a decent villageYell
