Just wondered if anyone else has heard the rumour or if anyone can enlighten me on the subject of Tesco trying to buy the whole shopping precinct site with a view to demolishing the whole area to build a Tesco express complete with petrol forecourt,if this is allowed to go ahead Killamarsh may as well be called “Tesco Town” as they'll kill any trade left in the village and have a full monopoly of shoppers not able to leave the village for any competition.I know Tesco will buy this council as they have done in every other village Tesco stores stand, by promising vast amounts of money and new build for anything the corrupt councils demand,look at Clowne new road built! Porthmadog North Wales new school built! Mansfield new leisure centre built! Killamarsh God forbid not another Ivory Towers. Apparently the shops from Rivingtons to the Co-op are also in the firing line,could the Co-op be in the way?what about the clinic,the white elephant(killamarsh learning centre Yo Ho Ho)the old car sales,computer repairs or whatever it is this week.Just food for thought but I would like to know if these rumours are built loosely on fact or wholly on fact or are merely just untrue. Interesting never the less.

Me thinks is tesco take over good thinking, we get a petrol station back maybe a bank and it would look far better than the mess it looks now . I must ask what idiot gave the go ahead to build the eyesore which is underway in the back of the hairsalon garden.
