UPDATE; The Greene King brewery has now done modifications to the car park and you will find it a lot easier to get to the stop and shop and takeaway. We at rroka would like to thank Greene king for there prompt tackling of the car park and there stand on stopping the joy riders and drug pushers.

As owner of stopnshop which is located next to the bull & badger car park, i would like people to be aware that the design of the car park has nothing to do with us,we were not consulted in any way,and only new the week before that resurfacing work and some alterations would take place.
what a stupid thing to do i have never seen any thing like it in my life . i can not get my car around with out having to reverse it i can see a bad accident going to happen and hope it is going to be flood lit at night too . there is no access for prams and wheelchairs to
I myself went to stopnshop today, when I reversed I mounted the curbing, luckily I stopped, if I had of continued I would have ended up straaddling a high curb and ripping the bottom from my van! There are no bollards to warn of the curbing.
I think its a law suit waiting to happen! Surely this needs ripping up!
I used to visit the stopnshop daily untill the newly designed carpark was thrust upon us. Many people like myself find it much easier to go and buy our goods from the convenience store on Delves Road, rather than have to manoeuvre, and risk damaging our car round the stupidly designed car park.
You cannot get in or out of the car park without having to do a three point turn.
I thought Killamrsh was suppose to encourage small business’s. But im affraid that unless the design of the car park is not altered the stopnshop and take away will lose an awful lot of buiness of which will probably result in shut down.
I for one would hate to see this happen.
I cross the car park regularly to get to the stop n shop and the new design is causing me serious problems, due to my disability a i use my mobility scooter and now i have to go through the middle of the car park avoiding the local kids using it as a local bike track, also i have to watch out for cars and vans doing 3-point turns just to get out of the car park.
Before cars could just reverse or turn round very easy and exit the car park, now i’m put at risk because a driver of a vehicle can’t be looking in all directions in one go whilst trying to avoid all the kerb stones and ramps that have been put in place which means i don’t even know which way a driver is going to reverse just to get out.
RIDICULOUS!!
If the Brewery had consulted with the owners of StopnShop, the Chinese takeaway and the Police there would not have been such a half baked solution to a ‘problem’ that was being dealt with anyway.
BTW is this the same Brewery that had the ‘environmental’ bins removed from that car park with the result that people at this end of Killamarsh now have to take rubbish to the car park on Stanley Street
Maybe the Brewery would now like to employ a litter picker (as they own it). The car park is a disgrace and full of litter.
We were led to believe that the brewery had to set litter pickers and gardeners on to keep the car park tidy, obviously they are cutting there budget and wanting to take every penny they can even if it means making the car park look like the terraces after a football match thanx for your comments.
There has been two accidents in the car park in october outside the shops, a customer drove into my car door causing £850 worth of damage and another car was damaged when someone tried to reverse up to the shops, all due to the new lay out.
Green king are refusing to change it any further, we think they are waiting for a major accident to happen but we are still contesting it. Email Green King with your accident details this will give more credence to our issue.
