police highmoor 13th june 12.20 pmThis photo was taken on sat the 13th of june at 12.20 at Highmoor there was also another one at Norwood obviously waiting for speeding motorists. If they can put two squad cars on at this time why can’t  they put squad cars on at night when the real trouble starts it amazes us they can find police at this time but not at the right time . Keep the photos coming in .

Traffic cops don’t do foot patrols.

Good point,Why is there always traffic cops and no foot patrols is it money, or do they just know it is easier to catch motorists and get a conviction, rather than catch vandals or hooligans which the courts let go so they can do it again.

I think it’s a visibility issue tbh. I doubt a police man on the beat ever catches someone committing a “real” crime. I think we need to see a beat bobby back in the village.

Yes we do , but a Bobby who can do something. One of our residents was down on the precinct and the police were talking to some lads and all the time they were talking, they were kicking a ball against the squad car and they did’nt say a thing no respect.

I think people need to see the bigger picture… believe it or not it police officers may have more than just patrolling the streets to do. There are other aspects of the job. But it seems that nobody cares that speeding and dangerous driving could easily kill someone or a resident who happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I have seen quite a few police officers on the beat recently but no I don't find it appropriate to take pictures of them! then give you all a date and a time. Or even decribe the weather in which they are walking in! What do you mean by when the real trouble starts? When drunken adults leave pubs all roudy? or groups of young people hanging around on the streets at night because there are very few places to go and be accepted?

I think blaming police for the situation in Killamarsh is unfair… it is not the fault of the police there is a divide in Killamarsh between young and older members of the village! The police cannot arrest young people if they are not doing anything wrong but move them on from public areas. It's certainly not rotting in Killamarsh!

YellNOT ALL YOUNG PEOPLE IN KILLAMARSH ARE ANTISOCIAL…NOT ALL YOUNG PEOPLE IN KILLAMARSH ARE HOOLIGANS!Yell It is only a select few people that behave in these ways!

I like killamarsh, I like the leisure centre and its new car park and entrance, I like the chinese takeaway next to the stop and shop. I like the stop and shop because we really get on with the owners and rent dvd's on a regular basis. I like that I can walk down the back lane of my house and be in the country side and walk to spinkhill or morrisons if I want. What do you like about Killamarsh? I would like to make a suggestion to the people who run the website have more than just issues on this website. Obviously you probably wont consider my ideas. I thought it would be good to have something on the website where people can say what they like about Killamarsh and why. Have some positivity and enthusiam on the site it makes me feel dull reading just the issues.Laugh

Well i must say the police presence you think you have seen in our village are mere illusions .They are cardboard cutouts with no powers what so ever.I have seen them patrolling and dealing with the problems in this village. I think the title is support officer .I can think of a better title for them. OH and by the way young man you need to speak to  the people who lived in this  village when  one was proud to say I LIVE IN KILLAMARSH..We as young people then policed our own.

I am not one that goes out these days, having a wife that's disabled, first I find that if my wife and I did go out  locally she would NOT find any disabled facilities in the pubs (let's know if this isn't true).Confused

Second, I am afraid that if there are THUGS in the area , then I may not be able to get us out of that area before something dreadfull happens.Cry

I agree with the sentiments of Killamarshblade -(why blade?) the majority of youngsters in Killamarsh are OK but do exactly as us OLD FARTS . If they see anything that's bad and should be reported they ignore it and then go complain on this web site-(if they can find out how to).Cry

I am sick to death of people complaining about our community officers, one that I spoke to used to work for the NHS which means he has at least 6 years training – and probably a lot more - how many of you complainers out there have had that amount of training -probably none SO SHUT UP AND GIVE THEM A HAND.

Stop complaining about our comunity officers and start complaining about our councilors – lets face it we did it before and we can do it again – (WHAT HAS HAPPEND TO R.A.S.P.) .

The people of the village have had the chance to get rid of this hypocritical dross of a council on numerous occasions but what happens? Nothing,re-elected time & time again mostly un-opposed,no wonder they get away with so much they know no one will stand against them. As for policing, this is a national problem this Labour government will not admit to causing, they know they have lost control of the streets but cover it up the same as the expenses fiddling, they have their own protection, it's the same old Labour policy “I'm alright Jack pull that “******* ladder up” and our beloved councillors have adopted the same policy but then again being Labour councillors they would. The chance was had recently to get rid of LORD CHARLES and his band of co-horts  but no, re-elected, by who? the winging people of the village? Not me I would rather vote for Screaming Lord Such's dog you'd probably get a better service and more response.

How he got voted in is a mystery A few months ago he showed his loyalty to our local football teams, by going in the West end wearing a Chelsea shirt  why Chelsea if he loves them so much he ought to go and live there the expenses must eak out to that surely.Frown

His only loyalty lays only to himself, he knows he wouldn't last two minutes if he did the decent thing and went back down south. Ive said it before “We shouldn't have stopped Hitler till he got to Nottingham”
